We are Esther and Klaas Zonnebeld, Klaas comes from Nijverdal, Esther from Heino. Esther came from a farm and Klaas van a tree nursery.  When we were married in 1998 and bought a House we missed a dog on the floor. Esther grew up with German shepherds and Klaas with Frisian Stabij's. For Klaas was not a difficult choice but Esther had never heard of a Stabyhoun, so after a few visits to the dogs(training) school in the neighborhood we finally found a Staby. It did not take a lot of trouble to get Esther excited. Once you have a Stabyhoun looked in the eyes, you're sold! 

After almost a year to have waited, became our puppy born in March 2000; 9 weeks later we got her Finally, she came out of the kennel Fan it Heidehiem and her name was Famke (officially called Pai Famke fan it Heidehiem, because the complete litter had to start with a P). 

In 2002, our daughter Joyce and in 2004 our son Koen was born. We still live in Nijverdal, Holland, and feel at home there. Beside our children and dogs we are absolutely in love with Sweden, we go there as often as possible to lay-back and enjoy the beautiful nature.   

Stabijhounkennel Fan it Heidehiem

We have this kennel name officially since 28 september 2004, but the kennel name has been around for much longer; Hilly Postma van Stam and her husband Klaas Postma have already breed 15 litters before we took over the kennel name. 

Our Famke came from the P-litter and already from the first time we got in touch with Hilly, there was a connection. Also during the birth of our first litter Hilly was there to help us. When the first puppy was born Hilly asked us if whe would like it to call these pups Fan it Heidehiem. She had decided to stop and it is up to us to continue the kennel name.

This is of course a great honor but also a challenge. We try to achieve the results Hilly and her husband have made in the past.

 In the meantime, we have breed a few litters, with a lot of joy and good results.
